Inspired by the simple, delicious and authentic yakitori and hibachi, the YAK Grill carries on a long tradition of people gathering around fire and hot coals to cook and eat together. The charcoal YAK Grill makes the tradition accessible to everyone, welcoming a new generation to the joys of connecting over delicious food prepared together.
After a successful launch on Kickstarter and the growth of a passionate fan base, sales of YAK Grills’ premium grill had begun to plateau. Founder David Sypnewski needed a fresh strategy to focus, clarify, and expand the brand across all touchpoints without losing its hard-earned brand recognition.
Steady Studio collaborated with David to enrich and expand the brand story, shifting the focus away from technical specifications and materials and re-centering it on the experience of connecting with friends and family over a delicious meal. New graphic assets were developed to reinforce the updated narrative and complement the existing brand. The elevated visuals and refocused messaging led to increased engagement, surpassed quarterly sales goals, and an expanded social media following.
